We're a boutique executive search firm built for one job: placing the leaders who run Retail, Omnichannel, and eCommerce operations, across 12 dedicated practice areas.
We built Commerce Staffing around one idea: the best hires come from recruiters who live inside a single practice area long enough to know it cold. No generalists guessing at fit, no learning curve on your dime — just recruiters who already understand your function before the search even starts.
Commerce Staffing was founded as a sister firm to eCommerce Placement, a firm that has recruited exclusively in digital commerce since 2010. As the line between pure eCommerce and broader Retail and Omnichannel operations kept blurring, we saw the same thing happening on the hiring side: companies needed a recruiting partner who understood the full connected commerce picture, not just the website.
That's why Commerce Staffing exists. We carry forward the same proprietary candidate network and 14+ years of Commerce-focused search experience, extended to cover Retail and Omnichannel roles alongside eCommerce, across 12 dedicated practice areas from Brand Management to Supply Chain & Operations.
We operate on a contingency basis: a 20% placement fee, due only when you hire our candidate, backed by a 90-day replacement guarantee. No retainer, no upfront commitment. We're motivated to move quickly because that's when we get paid, and we specialize by practice area because "eCommerce experience" isn't specific enough to source, screen, or place the right person for a given role.
Adam Rose is the Founder of Commerce Staffing and its sister firm, eCommerce Placement. A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management, Adam founded eCommerce Placement in 2010 and built it into one of the industry's most established eCommerce recruiting firms, growing the business almost entirely through inbound relationships, content, and referrals rather than outbound sales.
As the boundaries between Retail, Omnichannel, and eCommerce continued to blur, Adam founded Commerce Staffing to extend that same specialized, relationship-driven approach to the full Commerce function, from Brand Management to Supply Chain & Operations. He remains hands-on across both firms today, working directly with clients and candidates on the searches his teams run every day.
